A Vietnamese entry visa is required for all foreigners who want to visit Vietnam except for citizens (nationalities) of countries having bilateral agreements on Visa exemption with Vietnam. There are two main types of visas are tourist visa and business visa.

VISA EXEMPTION

- No Vietnam entry visa required for travel less than 30 days: Citizens of Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei and Laos.
- No Vietnam entry visa required for travel less than 15 days: Citizens of Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
- No Visa required for travel less than 90 days or several visits within 6 months: Citizens of France holding valid diplomatic or official passports.
- No Vietnam entry visa required for travel less than 60 days: Citizens of Chile holding valid diplomatic or official passports.
- No Vietnam entry visa required for travel less than 60 days: APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies.
- No Vietnam entry visa required for traveling to Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam: Foreigners and Vietnamese nationals bearing foreign passports who enter Vietnam through an international border gate and then travel to Phu Quoc Island and stay in Phu Quoc Island less than 15 days will also be exempted from Vietnam Visa. Passport must be valid for at least 45 days. After arriving in Phu Quoc Island, if visitors want to travel other places or stay in the island for more than 15 days, the immigration department will be responsible for issuing visas right on the spot.

No Vietnam entry visa required for Vietnamese overseas less than 90 days staying if holding Vietnam Visa Exemption certificate.

TYPES OF VISA

Tourist Visa

- The visa is for single/ multiple entry

- The visa is valid for 1 month, but it can be extended in Vietnam.

Diplomatic and Official Visa

- No fee unless otherwise agreed upon between Vietnam and applicant’s country.

- On applying this visa, the applicant must submit an official letter from the concerned agencies of local government, foreign embassies or consulates accredited to the applicant’s country, international organizations, or other accredited organizations based in that country.

Business Visa

- The visa is for multiple entries

- The visa is valid for 3 months, 6 months or one year.

- The visa will be extended in Vietnam.

PROCEDURES & REQUIREMENTS

In order to get the visa for entering Vietnam, the following information is necessary:

- Title (Mr/Mrs/Ms/Miss)

- Full name as it appears exactly in passport

- Date of birth

- Nationality

- Passport No (valid at least 06 months).

- Passport issue date

- Passport expiry date

- Purpose of your visit

- Intended entry date

- Intended exit date

- Arrival Flight Details (Optional)

- Port of arrival

- Phone number

- Where to get your visa stamped (Either Vietnam Embassy or Vietnam airports)

VISA ON ARRIVAL

Visa on arrival means getting Vietnam visa upon arrival at the Vietnam international airports (Noibai international airport in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh City and Danang international airport in Da Nang).

In order to get the Vietnam visa on arrival you should obtain approval letter for Vietnam visa on arrival in advance. The approval letter is the letter approved by Vietnam Immigration department allows you to enter and exit Vietnam for a given period of time. With the approval letter, you can get Vietnam visa not only at a Vietnam international airport but also at Vietnam Consulate/Embassy in your country.

PROCESS OF A VISA APPLICATION

- If the you want to receive the visa at Vietnam Embassy or General Consulate in your country:

+ We collect your information

+ We check and then send it to the Immigration Department

+ The Immigration department issues the letter of approval then faxes or sends through email to the Vietnam embassy or general consulates in your country.

+ You will go to the embassy or consulate to get the visa stamped

- If the you want to receive the visa at Vietnam International airports (Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, Da Nang airport in Da Nang, Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City).

+ We collect your information
+ We check and then send it to the Immigration Department
+ The Immigration department issues the letter of approval then faxes or sends through email to us and to the Immigration desk at the airports.
+ You go to the Immigration desk at the airport to get your visa stamped upon your arrival at Vietnam.

The process normally takes from 3-4 working days after we have already received the information and payment from you. it also depends on each case.

- The above fees are in American dollars, valid from 1 May 2008 until 31 December 2008.
- If you want to get the visa approval letter within 1-2 working days, the surcharge fee will be added to the above visa service fee.
- Visa service fee is the fee that you need to pay our company directly for our visa service.

- Stamp fee is the fee that you have to pay the Immigration desk directly before you go through immigration at the airport upon your arrival or pay the Vietnam Embassy or General Consulates in your country to get the visa stamped.

- The Stamp fee is accepted in USD or Dong and should be paid by cash (Credit card is not acceptable)
- The visa service fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

- We will not be responsible for any problem caused by either the refusal of the Immigration Department because of the reason(s) from your end or the wrong information that you provided us.
- We will inform you if there is any change in the fees or requirements upon your application.
