HANOI TOUR PLUS EXCURSION Duration: 8 Days/ 7 Nights Destination: Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa
DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL (-/-/D) Arrive at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, our tour guide and driver will greet and pick you up then transfer to your hotel to check in and relax. Stay overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI HALF DAY CITY TOUR (B/L/D) Wake up in the morning and enjoy buffet breakfast served at your hotel. You will be free at leisure or go downtown in the hotel’s area. In the afternoon, our tour guide and driver will take you out for a half day Hanoi city tour with visit at Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Temple of Literature which is known as the oldest school in Vietnam, and Vietnam military history museum where you will see War remnants such as Soviet tanks, helicopters, skyraiders as well as wreckage of the US B-52 bomber. Have lunch and dinner at special restaurants with Vietnamese and international cuisines. In the evening, enjoy a performance of Hanoi's Mua Roi Nuoc, literally 'puppets that dance on water'. This traditional form of entertainment dates back as far as the tenth century and originated in Northern Vietnam. Stay overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 3: HANOI CITY TOUR – SAPA (B/L/-)
After breakfast at the
hotel, we will pick you up then take you to visit Ho Chi Minh complex,
including the marble Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh – the final resting place of
Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho, visit president Ho Chi Minh’s stilt
house – where Uncle Ho lived in and passed away between 1958 and 1969.
Inside the complex, you will also visit Ho Chi Minh’s Museum which
displays what he had done for Vietnam and some other countries and learn
all kinds of information about the President Ho Chi Minh. The next place
is One Pillar Pagoda which is a group of structures consisting of a pagoda
and a tower built on a pillar in the middle of a square pond. We will then
leave One Pillar Pagoda for Tran Quoc Pagoda and Westlake. Return your
hotel, check out then have lunch at a local restaurant.
DAY 4: SAPA (B/L/D) Early morning you will arrive in Lao Cai Railway station, our tour guide and bus will pick you up and transfer by road to Sapa to relax and have breakfast at the hotel. Here, in the terraced hills and mountains, the monotony of the expansive green landscape is brightened by the colours of the area's native hill tribes. Then take a morning walking tour to Ham Rong Mountain to enjoy the panorama of Sapa Town, visit the orchid gardens with beautiful and colorful flowers. In addition, Ham Rong Mountain has numerous caves and stones in extraordinary shapes. You will have lunch at a local restaurant in town to enjoy the specialty here such as mountainous chicken or various types of rabbits. In the afternoon, our tour guide will take you to visit Cat Cat Minority village to admire a lively and colorful picture of H’Mong people. Back to the hotel to have dinner and enjoy the night in Sapa.
DAY 5: SAPA – HANOI (B/L/-) After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and leave your luggage in the hotel, get ready for the trekking trip down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Day tribes then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Have a picnic lunch on the way. You go back to Sapa by motorbike or jeep. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour to Sapa town to visit the busy market where the ethnic minority people converge to sell their embroidery, silverwares, and handicrafts before returning your hotel to get yourself fresh with a shower in the hotel’s day room then transfer down to Lao Cai Station for the night train back to Hanoi departing around 19:00. Stay overnight on train.
DAY 6: HANOI – HALONG BAY (-/L/D) Upon disembarking in Hanoi, enjoy breakfast and continue through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta to reach Halong Bay. On the way, you will have short stop at an Embroidery shop to relax. Arrive at Halong harbor, board the traditional junk and have lunch with fresh seafood on junk. Spend the remainder of the day cruising through the emerald green waters of the bay, weaving in and out of the hundreds of limestone karsts. Stop and visit one of the area’s many caves, have a swim in the refreshing waters, and enjoy sumptuous dinner aboard the boat. Stay overnight onboard in Halong Bay.
DAY 7: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B/L/-) Early this morning, participate in a Tai Chi class on the sundeck, or relax with a fresh cup of coffee as you view the awakening of Halong Bay's local fishermen. A wholesome breakfast is served as you cruise back to Halong City where you disembark and return to Hanoi, arriving mid-day. Stay overnight at your hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 8: HANOI DEPARTURE (B/-/-) After your breakfast at the hotel, you will be free at leisure on your own or relax until transfer to the airport for your onward travel. End the trip.
