We would recommend this hotel for the high quality service and accommodation, and the excellent buffet breakfast that was part of our package. The pool was also clean and in a good spot to look over the roof tops of the local area. The only down-side to the hotel is that it is not right in the centre of things, although it is only a short taxi ride to the Ben Thanh Markets and the more touristy areas, so that is not really a problem. Overall, the Equatorial Hotel is great value for a modern, 5 star hotel, and I would stay there again.
